October has always been a meaningful month, but this year it feels especially rich. It marks one full year since moving into my new home, and it also marks my 57th birthday. Big changes like these have a way of making you reflect—and this year I decided to gift myself not just one, but two deeply personal treasures.
The first gift was saying “yes” to stepping in front of the camera as part of Corrie Lindroos Photography 40 Over 40 project. As someone who spends her life photographing others, being photographed myself was both vulnerable and empowering. It reminded me of the courage it takes to be seen—and how important it is to exist in portraits for yourself and for the people who love you.
The second gift was one I had dreamed of for years: finally creating wall art of my heart dog, Honey. We had connected with her best bud Jessica to assist and we headed to the River, just across the bridge to my old stomping grounds in Lake Cowichan—a place I called home for 20 years, and where Honey and I spent the last five exploring trails, riversides, and forests together. That session gave me images that are nothing short of stunning. Three of them now hang proudly in my home.
Every time I walk by them, I’m brought right back to the Lake: the scent of the river, the trails after a rain, the crunch of gravel underfoot, the quiet moments with Honey trotting just ahead. Those portraits don’t just decorate my walls—they ground me, reminding me of the life we built there, while anchoring me in this new space where new memories are waiting to be made. They’ve truly made my house a home.
I’m so excited about these images because they are more than photographs. They are my story, woven into art I’ll cherish forever.
And now, to celebrate my birthday and the one-year anniversary of this new chapter, I want to share that same joy with you.
Because I’m turning 57, I’ve created something I’ve never done before:
up to 70% off the session fee
That’s only 9 spots total, and once they’re gone, they’re gone.
Here’s the gift: you don’t need to book your actual session right away. Secure your session fee now, and you’ll have all of 2026 to choose when you want your portrait experience.
Whether it’s portraits of your family, your pets, or capturing your own milestone season of life, this is the perfect moment to say yes.
I waited years to finally create artwork of Honey—and I can tell you, the joy of walking past those portraits every day is worth everything. Don’t wait as long as I did.
Only 9 Birthday promotion spots are available!
